This is the first stage of a project designed to regenerate the 'comprensorio Vitali', a disused, semi-central industrial estate with a construction capacity of 160,000 m2 (gross floor area).
The project's aim was to renovate the site by building a new urban centre with integrated services on the edge of a large park with all amenities.
The entire building was used in the first few months of 2006 as a 'Media Village' (1,400 bedrooms plus common rooms) during the XX Winter Olympic Games and was later re-converted to the use it was originally designed for.
