An old, disused tyre factory, located on the banks of the Dora river: once an industrial area, now with high potential for regeneration into residential property and office space.
Of the 13,500 m2 completed, half were allocated to creating apartments while the remainder was set aside for office space. The apartments, which consist of 60 lofts and 12 'urban villas' were constructed on the flat roofs of the buildings and boast large windows, terraces or roof gardens.
The renovation used innovative techniques (such as the use of ground water for summer air conditioning; ventilated walls clad in Alucobond; low-e, photochromic windows) which help the building reach significant levels of energy efficiency. As well as having carried out the construction work, DE-GA S.p.a.'s property sales office was also involved.
