The construction work was carried out on a privately-owned building, on two storeys plus an underground floor, created to lodge young foreigners. The building was a home built in the 1960s in the hills of Turin, which was renovated and converted to its new use. A feature of this project were the wiring, heating and plumbing systems, all chosen with a view to energy efficiency (a wood pellet furnace and the use of solar panels for supplying hot water).
