The design was clearly inspired by Ancient Greek culture: a row of columns runs along the entire perimeter. The façade is crowned with a tympanum made from a series of laminated wooden beams which are all of 32 metres long. The foyer leads to the theatre where the column capitals have been interpreted in a modern style using steel, glass and lights.
At the heart of this 'modern Greek temple', a theatre and cinema hall has been created which - thanks to seats built on movable bases and movable walls - can be joined to the foyer when necessary, transforming it into one large space seating 1,500 people.
The project also sought to limit energy consumption by creating an external 'solarwall' on the south end of the building, absorbing the sun's rays, warming the air before it enters the hall, and therefore becoming a source of passive energy.
